西行咨询消息，虽然 Windows Server 2008 还未正式公布，但是 Beta 3 测试版是已经发布了，同时 IIS7 也包含其中。目前有消息表明，已经有 2600 个网站开始在 Windows Server 2008 上运行，这其中也包含微软自己的一些网站（占多少比例不详）。相对目前数量巨大的个人和企业网站而言，显然这个数字还是不足道哉。
西西认为，从 Windows 2000 过渡到 Windows Server 2003 花费数年时间，要再次从 2003 过渡到 2008 有需要多少时间呢？况且，目前还有 500 万网站仍然运行在 Windows 2000 之上，Windows Server 2008 的路还有很长。
