可能是受到 Leopard 一下子预告了 300 多个新特性的影响，Mac OS X 上一个极为使用，近乎必备的软件 Cocktail，在其最新的 3.8 版本发布的时候，也宣称新增了 100 多种新特性。其中主要包括：
- Fine grained control of Spotlight (you can enable/disable Spotlight for disks)
- Lots of new logging
- New ways to tweak the UI of a variety of Apple apps (including Safari, Mail, and Finder)
Cocktail 一直是商业软件，价格依然没变，为 14.95 美元，有免费试用版提供。
