曾荣获 2007 年度 Mac 最佳小产品 的 HandBrake 是一款 Mac OS X 上无需特别技巧便可直接将 DVD 电影内转换成 AVI/MPEG4 格式，还有 MP4 及 OGM 输出、AAC 及 Vorbis 编码的实用软件。从 0.8.5 开始，HandBrake 还发布了 Linux 以及 Windows 适用的版本。最新版本为 0.9.2，新版主要更新改进的部分如下：

　* Any DVD-like source: VIDEO_TS folder, DVD image or real DVD (even encrypted)
　* PAL or NTSC
　* AC-3, LPCM or MPEG audio tracks
