在微软宣布全球发布 Windows Live Hotmail 的同时，微软也说将在几周内发布一个Beta版的邮件客户端：Windows Live Hotmail。Windows Live Hotmail 将会取代 Outlook Express 和 Windows Mail 邮件客户端。
Windows Live Hotmail 将提供 POP 和 IMAP 邮件帐户，以及 Hotmail 服务。并且，Windows Live Hotmail 还会整合其他 Live 服务，如 Contacts、Messenger、Spaces 等。免费客户端用户则必须接受界面中的广告，而订阅 Hotmail Premium 服务的用户没有广告。
据说 Windows Live Hotmail 与 Windows Live Desktop Mail 颇为类似，如此微软除 Outlook 和 Windows Live Desktop Mail 又多了一个邮件客户端，三者会同时存在么？如何定位？(via)
