Microsoft Windows mobile apps may be set to gain ground after Nokia said it plans to make Windows Phone 7 its primary smartphone platform. The company plans to hold "boot-camp" workshops on building apps for Windows Phone 7 at the conference. Microsoft recently frustrated Windows Phone users when it bungled a software update for the phone that was supposed to add copy-and-paste and other enhanced features. At the mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer announced several new features that will be coming to the Windows Phone 7 this year. These include Twitter integration with the phone's address book, multi-tasking and Internet Explorer 9. There was also an experimental project showing an Xbox Kinect game that a second player can control with the Windows Phone 7.
